Vocational Services:
Our Mission
We provide Department of Rehabilitation counselors with a strong partnership based on honesty, communication and trust with mutual goals of assisting individuals with disabilities in obtaining, retaining, and advancing in their chosen careers.

 


Department of Rehabilitation Counselors

Menu of Services

  • Assessment of job skills, experience, and training.

  • Development of short-term and long-term employment goals.

  • Assistance with preparation of resume, cover letter, sample application, letters of reference, and other documents.

  • Guidance on job skills preparation, job searching, cold-calling, and interviewing.

  • Help uncovering job leads and the hidden job market.

  • Information on the Americans with Disabilities Act and reasonable accommodations.

  • Referral for supportive needs such as transportation, housing assistance, and attendant care.

  • Job retention services including follow-up through 90 days of employment.

Other services offered

  • Complete Job Club Programs
    Tailored to the needs of the consumers in attendance.

  • Job Mentoring and Assistance
    Skilled job assistants are available to work with consumers that need one-on-one short-term assistance on their new job.

  • Job Retention Classes and Groups
    Evening meetings for consumers placed in employment to ensure job retention. Meetings are led by one of our experienced job developers.
