Join Our Team: The Five Easy Steps to Success!
In order to “Get with The Program”, join our team and become a volunteer member of The Dayle McIntosh Center all you have to do is follow these 5 simple steps:
Step 1 – Application: Check out, fill out, and send a completed copy of our two-part application to our volunteer coordinator, Sabrina Surritt’s e-mail address: ssurritt@daylemc.org
Step 2 – Introduction Letter: Write a letter of introduction giving us information about yourself; why you would like to become a volunteer at The Dayle McIntosh Center. List any and all of your skills, talents, background, and anything else you would like us to know in considering you for a volunteer position with us. Send this letter along with your completed application to the volunteer coordinator at the above e-mail address.
Step 3 - The Interview: Once your application and introduction letter has been received & reviewed await for a scheduled interview. Our volunteer coordinator will call you promptly to set up an interview date and time to discuss your future and link you up to a volunteer position that is suitable to your interests and skills.
Step 4 – Orientation: You have passed the interview! Congratulations! You will now attend our monthly orientation, review your Volunteer Handbook and fill out any necessary forms that prepare you for Step five. Orientation happens once a month and can sometimes be scheduled even after you have joined our team. The volunteer coordinator will let you know when to attend.
Step 5- Induction & Background Check: This sounds scary, but it isn’t really! You are almost a full-fledged volunteer member at this point. All you have to do is fill out the background check form and go to your appointment to have your Live Scan done. It is easy, really, and the volunteer coordinator is the person that sets the appointment, tells you where to go for your appointment, and “Joila!”…
… SUCCESS!!!
